Dr. Peggy Dettwiler, Director of Choral Activities at Mansfield University, has invited me to collaborate with her in developing a presentation on Overtone Singing as a Choral Art. In 2014 we will present the program at the World Symposium of Choral Music in Seoul, Korea, and at the American Choral Directors Association Northeast Region conference in Baltimore, US. This is a fantastic opportunity to encourage more choral directors to use overtone singing with their choirs, and there is no one better than Peggy to be our representative with her fellow professionals. I am so grateful for her leadership in bringing overtone singing to standard choral music.
