Overtone Singing at ACDA

Greetings from Baltimore! Peggy Dettwiler and I had a great session at the American Choral Directors Assoc. convention. We presented our program “Overtone Singing as a Choral Art” to an enthusiastic audience of approx. 150 choral directors and singers. Three of my choral pieces were excerpted and I sang a solo work. Nice to get good feedback from colleagues.  Hope we convinced several directors to try overtone singing with their choirs!

Peggy is Director of Choral Activities at Mansfield University in Pennsylvania and is a leader in the field of overtone singing in choral music.  She has performed three of my compositions and has also performed the Past Life Melodies by Sarah Hopkins several times.

What an honor to work with such a fine musician and wonderful person!!!ACDA graphic
