I have been invited back to Mansfield University (PA) on September 12-15 by Dr. Peggy Dettwiler, Director of Choirs, for workshops with her choirs on overtone singing. The Concert Choir will rehearse my composition Meeres Stille. In addition to working with the choirs, I will also give a lecture-recital for a convocation of the music department faculty and students and meet with the student chapter of ACDA (American Choral Directors Association).
Dr. Dettwiler is a pioneer in the field of overtone singing in choral music. Her groups have had great success incorporating overtone singing into their performances, including a prize at international competition for a performance of my piece Autumn Moon. It is my great pleasure and privilege to work with these fine musicians from Mansfield University. Looking forward to a most enjoyable and productive visit!
