The International Choral Bulletin has published my latest article on overtone singing in choral music: “Overtone Singing: Not Just for Monks and Shamans Anymore,” in Volume XXXI, Number 4. The purpose of this article is to encourage choir directors who have never used overtone singing to try it with their choirs. Information on how to get started and a short list of recommended works are included.
The original article is given in English, but the publishers have also made translations into German, French, and Spanish.
The editorial team at ICB have done a great job with the publication. My sincere thanks to Graham Lack, Andrea Angelini, and all their colleagues for their excellent work. I hope that many directors will read the article and consider using overtone singing with their choirs.
